This Ode to the New Year of 2022 was written on New Year’s Day. I was still suffering from the many days spent in isolation, and also depressed by the enormous problems our country was facing, and continues to deal with.
This painting was done during the turbulent years of a presidency of which I refuse to name. I posted a smaller image of this painting, earlier. However, it just seems so appropriate to the subject, I felt compelled to repeat it.
